Scheduled for April 14th, Target’s popular program invites you to swap your outdated or damaged car seat for a 20% discount on new select baby gear.

You can utilize the 20% Target coupon twice this year, with the deadline for redemption set at May 11, 2024.

How does it work?

Step 1 is to Bring an old car seat or base to a nearby Target and drop it in the designated box inside the store.

Step 2: Scan

• Scan the QR code on the box, then tap “Add to Target Circle Bonus.
• Talk to a Team Member in Guest Services if you need help.

Step 3: Find

• Your bonus will be in your Wallet in the Target app. 
• The bonus will stay in your Wallet until you use it twice or it expires.

Step 4: Save

• Your bonus can be applied to your next qualifying purchase and can be redeemed twice. 
• Stack the bonus with other offers for more savings.

What is the car seat trade-in program?

Guests who trade in their old car seats will receive a 20% off bonus toward a new car seat, car seat base, travel system, stroller or select baby home gear. Select baby home gear includes playards, high chairs, swings, rockers, bouncers, walkers, entertainers and jumpers.

What type of car seat qualifies for a trade in? 

Target will accept and recycle all types of car seats, including: infant car seats, convertible car seats, car seat bases, harness or booster car seats, as well as car seats that are expired or damaged. Guests will receive a 20% off bonus for trading in any one of these items. 

Where do I bring my old car seat to trade-in?

Car seats can only be traded in at a Target store. Target will have drop-off boxes for guests’ unwanted car seats located near Guest Services.

How do I receive a bonus for trading in an old car seat?

Signs will be placed near the drop-off boxes for guests to scan from their mobile device into their Circle. Upon scanning, the guest will receive one bonus per Target Circle account. The bonus will stay in your Wallet until you use it twice or it expires.

What is the bonus and how do I redeem it?

You will receive one 20% off bonus toward a new car seat, booster seat, car seat base, travel system, stroller or select baby gear. The bonus can be applied to both in-store and online purchases and is valid April 14 through May 11, 2024. This bonus can be combined with other item offers. This bonus is redeemable twice.
